Study Abroad!
The Global Studies Program provides a variety of study abroad courses and programs for students at UAHuntsville. Please examine the various opportunities described below. It is never too early to begin thinking about studying abroad and making your plans!

Faculty-Led Courses for 2010
Each year, the Global Studies Program administers faculty-led study abroad courses. In the last five years, over 270 UAHuntsville students from all majors have participated in these courses. Opportunities for 2010 are:
Germany (instructor Dr. Molly Johnson):
GS 199/HY 399 Munich, Nuremberg, Berlin: Legacies of the Third Reich (spring registration; travel May 9-22, 2010)
Students may also take course for 400 or 500 history credit with approval of instructor.

FL 301S Spanish for Conversation (spring registration, travel May 8-23, 2010)
FL 499S Advanced Spanish Conversation (spring registration, travel May 8-23, 2010)
We are also exploring the possibility of FL 499S Advanced Medical Spanish.

Summer Programs in Germany and Italy (offered every year)
Intensive German in Düsseldorf, Germany (4 weeks)
Intermediate Italian in Pisa, Italy (2+ weeks)
Art and Italian Culture in Cortona, Italy (10 weeks)
University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC)
The USAC consortium provides a wide variety of summer, semester, or academic-year programs at 24 sites in Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe. You can participate in these programs and earn transfer credit toward your degree at UAHuntsville! For a list of programs and locations, please visit usac.unr.edu.

Participation in UAH faculty-led courses requires instructor approval and a minimum 2.5 GPA. USAC programs have additional prerequisites. Please check the USAC site for more details.
